Beginning Meditation Classes

Mindfulness meditation practice
Day:             Wednesdays
Dates:          10/2, 9, 16, 23, 30
Time:           2:00 – 3:00 p.m.

The focus of this class is practicing mindfulness meditation.  It is an opportunity to practice with others and also to get a bit of instruction and guidance.  We will start with a guided mindfulness practice, then there will be a time for questions and we’ll end with another practice opportunity.

If you would like to sit with others and practice, this is an option for you.  If you already have had beginning meditation, this is an opportunity to practice.  If you are new to the practice, the guided meditation will get you started. 


A Meditator’s Toolbox

Day:             Wednesdays

Dates:          10/2, 9, 16, 23, 30

Time:           7:00 – 8:30 p.m.


This course will introduce you to the tools of meditation and the teachings that underlie them. For some it could begin to change your life, for others it may provide useful techniques to make your life a little easier. Either way, it may open your mind and heart to new perspectives and possibilities in life. Topics will include mindfulness, heart practices, and adding joy into your life. The techniques taught are nonsectarian and draw on a wide variety of traditions. Chairs will be provided; please bring a mat if that is your seating preference.
