One Day retreats are a great opportunity to enjoy deep meditation and to experience support for our practice. The day includes sitting and walking meditation, a dharma talk, and a time for questions. There will be a break-out session for beginners to help establish their practice. The day will be held in silence—those who wish complete silence will have the ability to do so. Held in a beautiful wooded spiritual center 2 miles North of Chelsea. Link to directions

--Bring a bag lunch for yourself; we encourage you to make it something you will really enjoy. Some beverages (tea, coffee, water) will be provided.
--Wear comfortable clothes. There is walking meditation that may occur outside.
--We take our shoes off so bring warm socks or slippers.
--If you have your own meditation pillows, by all means bring them. There will be comfortable chairs as well. For those who would like to sit on the floor, but do not have pillows, we recommend bringing two blankets – one to fold up as a pad to sit on, and one to cushion the feet.
The suggested donation for the fundraiser is $30 but any amount is gratefully accepted. You may pay at the front desk on the Day of Meditation. Checks should be made out to Michigan Friends Center. This is a fundraiser for Michigan Friends Center. The teachers receive no payment for their services.
